So I did a thing. I built a new marketplace for @spacebudzNFT, but it's not just a contract, it's an entire dApp including chain indexer and event listener. It's a template/protocol that can be used by any Cardano NFT project. I call it Nebula.

Fair criticism and I agree. I never intended to be "the wallet builder" on Cardano. I created Nami out of necessity to power my dApps. Nami is not a business, just an open source tool at this point. That's why there is pretty much 0 marketing and the website kept simple 🧵.
Wallet providers are critical for onboarding new users to a layer-1 blockchain. I wanted to provide some feedback to @NamiWallet as this is the first wallet I have used on @Cardano . There are also some common themes that I think the entire Cardano ecosystem can learn from 🧵.

What is annoying about Cardano is that you have to send a certain amount of ADA along with each token. This makes it unattractive to send small amounts of tokens around. I feel like it’s hard to solve on the protocol level, however I think it’s solvable on a user level 🧵:.

We need to decentralize our dApp ecosystem on top of Cardano and get rid single point of failures. Good actors can always turn into bad ones over time. We should learn from past/recent events. We need diversity and more marketplaces especially from individual big projects.

Now Cardano is using UTxOs like Bitcoin, but advanced it with eUTxO which is a complete new model essentially. Cardano is extremely young and no one ever has built on it before. Building on eUTxO is hard and not intuitive at all.

Cardano "DeFi" is a joke. Batching ruins everything. User has no control over the outcome, composability is broken and you pay extra. For the first time we have a unified ledger across the globe, why should we build in silos again. You basically give away the best feature.
If we're all worried about the slippage on our swaps being too high bc batchers will take advantage of it, that's a major point of centralization imo. If there's no way to keep the batchers accountable, we need a different system.

While I think nft lending protocols are amazing and I wanted to do the same for @spacebudzNFT, I'm still a bit cautious with it. Since most of these protocols have a deadline to payoff the loan they rely on time, which means these dapps have to function 100% and be available 24/7.

Yes SpaceBudz was pretty much the first NFT project on Cardano, but this is not where it ends and what makes it what it is today. Many compare SpaceBudz to other projects on Ethereum and blame SpaceBudz for not doing enough or not having utility.

1/2 I think if contingent staking wasn't brought into the context of KYC, no one would have cared about it. Per se it has nothing to do with KYC. It's a ledger rule addition that lets you as SPO decide which stake keys can delegate to your pool. Freedom comes from both sides.
