Honestly I have the same feeling about the rust community and perception matters. The community is a big part of why I love PHP 😍 The PHP community is nothing but awesome (perhaps bc a lot of “cool kids” loudly love to hate PHP since 15 years, helps to bound) 😎 cc @afup.
If the Rust community had this mentality more generally, I think I would’ve been more inclined to it (I still simply dislike the syntax subjectively, though). Steve says his experience was kindness that brought him there and for me it was unfortunately the opposite. Snobbery.

Honestly, didn’t think I could be hyped for a term emulator. But there it is.
New blog post: Ghostty 1.0 is Coming [in December]. I restate the broader goals of the project and the specific goals for the 1.0. I have ambitious plans, but also set clear expectations for what to expect on day one versus what will come in the future.
