Perspective of playing these games in the CURRENT day:
Hot (?) Take: There is no such thing as a BAD Halo game. Some are better than others. Others fell short of lofty expectations. But all in all each game brought at least something good to the table and are enjoyable to play. Agree or disagree?

Great video and balanced take as usual The only thing is, I don’t think a full “ugly sonic” remodel is worth it for this remake if it means delaying this and other (more ambitious) projects Maybe a middle ground like adding marine eyepieces and shifting some colors and textures
After getting home and having time to gather my thoughts. I believe Halo Campaign Evolved has potential but in its current state, its not good enough. There are issues with the project so I made a video to Halo Studios about what I believe needs fixing #Halo

DIFFICULTY MODIFIERS (easy, normal, legendary) ✅ GAMEPLAY MODIFYING SKULLS (black eye, tough luck, fog, thunderstorm, cowbell, etc.) ✅ OPEN ENDED LEVEL DESIGN (halo, silent cartographer) ✅ PLAYER SPEED MODIFIER (optional sprint) ❌ ❌ NEVER ALLOWED, RUINS LEVEL DESIGN
How many times can these people ignore the explanation for why it is mutually exclusive You can either design a game with sprint in mind, or not. The toggle means either segments will be created expecting sprint, or sprint will be pointless and ruin pacing.

Ok now that we know it’s gonna be while before the next Multiplayer game, I really hope the Infinite team keeps up their current pace. More eyes on Halo right now and Infinite is in a great spot to be an introduction to Halo Multiplayer.

Alright got yet another session in. Turned off screen shake, messed even more with sensitivity, adjusted contrast. The main thing I was concerned about was the “Halo feel.” Gotta say this really does feel like Halo. Pretty awesome to play Halo with top tier modern graphics.

As an artist I understand how important visuals are, but I do think Halo fans sometimes focus so hard on the wrong aspects of those visuals. These are good designs. Just not 1:1 with CE, but this isn’t a 1:1 remaster. This is truly supposed to be the new Halo for a new audience.
Lots of talk of reused assets and NPCs. I’m sorry guys but I feel that’s like, kind of the point of this campaign. They’re training themselves on Unreal before shipping a full game. I think the Marines are the one visual difference that’s actually big enough to worry about.
