New preprint! Why are long-range connectomic interactions in the cortex dominant in shaping dynamics in some experiments but apparently negligible in others? We (w/ Rishi M, @eli_j_muller) address this by studying a new hybrid model of cortical dynamics. https://t.co/S1uCoz3E54

RNNs are often used as a model for exploring how the brain may solve specific tasks. In a new preprint, we show that, depending on the architecture, RNNs find different circuit solutions, behaving differently when exposed to novel stimuli. https://t.co/0hpr74i04j @EngelTatiana

Amazing paper. All the good stuff: brain dynamics, state trajectories, embedding, links to arousal, tracking full dynamic state with a single measurement. https://t.co/N0zbt1Ebob

imo, many people are more interested in the aesthetics of virtue than virtue itself. similar goes for many things — the aesthetics of a gentleman than behaving like a gentlemen, the aesthetics of intelligence than actual intelligence, and so forth.
