I managed to say "thank you" to Claude Code right before the compacting started. Mission accomplished.

Just stumbled on an old school web relic by John Walker (founder of Autodesk). Pure HTML, no fluff, just decades of tools, essays, and photos. Feels like stepping into the early internet. The photo album alone is a time machine

Most users won't dig deep. They test briefly, see poor results, and unfairly assume the open source model is bad. In truth, it's the platform's lazy implementation damaging the model's reputation. 4/4.

For example, a platform announced support for a new coding model. After hours of debugging poor results, I found they didn't even implement tool calling, literally the core feature. 3/4.

These platforms proudly announce "Support for Model X!" but in reality, they implement just enough for it to run. Core features that actually make the model useful are missing. 2/4.

The rush to be "first to market" with the latest open-source models is harming their reputation. Platforms release half-baked integrations, leading users to wrongly conclude the models themselves suck. 1/4.

Rewrote this in Rust with more features. Same NS record approach but way faster. I hope dotchk helps make finding domains much easier. Link 👇.

@paulg I built a tool that generates domain names and checks availability by querying DNS NS records. It runs in under a minute, but finding a good domain among the available options still takes some effort.

Claude Code can check how many TLDs a domain name is registered in and which ones

Claude Code can generate domain name ideas and check their availability in one go. Just describe your project, and it'll suggest creative options across multiple TLDs (.com, .io, .dev, etc) while verifying what's actually available to register.

Opened a PR for an open-source Rust project (Now merged). ✅ Fixes handling of multiple tool results when using Ollama.

Claude Code is hands down the best coding agent I've tried. Fast, incredible ROI on the subscription, and it just works.

Grok 4 being sarcastic . "You can't have Grok answering your queries and not sneaking in a bit of xAl propaganda now and then.". (I’ll pretend I didn’t notice its jab at the dumb question)
