Happy 5 years to "life like moving pictures". I wrote it when I was closing a lot of big chapters. Even though it's not quite as popular as my other records, I'm glad that it ended up really resonating with people.

Other bands famously revered by tastemakers (pitchfork, etc) during the stomp clap era, gotye (someone that I used to know) and foster the people (pumped up kicks). Music used to really mean something back then

The thing about "stomp clap" and other hipster subgenres (indie rock, aphex twin etc) is that they all fell under the wider categorization of "mu-core" (pretentious internet bad boys). Thankfully, we've been moving away from that kind of thing (brat summer, etc).
