I think a big reason I had a hard time breaking into the hotel UGC space this year is because I was pitching a lot during high season. It was just when I had the space. Going to start pitching again next week and make this travel UGC niche come to life in 2026 🔥

Communication and deadlines go both ways. If creators are expected to reply in a timely manner, brands should be held to the same standard. If creators have to deliver content within a specific (often tight) timeframe, brands should be held to the same standard and pay on time

Payment fees from invoicing platforms are part of business, but ACH transfers have little to no fees. I understand why brands want to use credit cards to pay creators, but I think it should be normalized to charge brands the fees when they won't do ACH/bank transfers. Thoughts?

Here's a #ugcexample of a video I made for a SaaS brand recently. Skits work so well for SaaS brands, especially when it doesn’t make sense to rely on a ton of in-app footage. They let you tell a story and show the value in a more engaging way.

Hot take: brands should stop insisting on only paying creators via PayPal. I am not a huge PayPal fan. I understand there is ease there, but please just let me send you an invoice and get my ACH transfer using Stripe. Also - normalize charging brands for payment fees

Just a reminder to my UGC creators - business expenses are IMPORTANT to have. Don't go crazy, but business expenses mean owing less in taxes. Sign up for that course. Buy the camera. Invest in good lighting. Upgrade your phone. These are business expenses and they're worth it
