Today is #UHCDay! As our health survey data shows, #obesity is often forgotten by health systems. #UHC aims to achieve #HealthForAll, thus it’s essential obesity is included in these conversations! Let’s start by recognising it as a disease & ensuring access to care @UHC_Day

#UHC can help #beatNCDs. As countries progress toward ensuring #HealthForAll, more attention must be given to people living with #NCDs especially victims of tobacco caused diseases. @FCAforTC @ncdalliance #PLWNCDs #UHCDay @AfricaNoTobacco @CTC_AFRICA

Non Communicable Diseases are front and centre of the global health discourse. Our emphasis has been on lack of funding for NCDs, but the issue is much deeper. My comment in @bmj

Very delighted to launch national HPV vaccination program today! We’ll vaccinate 1.1 million girls this year to protect them from cervical cancer caused by HPV infection. Indeed very grateful for the continued support of @GAVI & all our partners. Cervical cancer is PREVENTABLE!
