John Blow showcases that he does a full recompile of his 300k LOC game in 2.3s. This is utterly amazing. Compiling a 300k LOC game in C++ would take at least 15 minutes, up to an hour. At least a 150x times improvement.

I think a lot of people never start to learn because they think there is a certain order to learn something. There is not. You can learn drawing by going straight for anatomy, learn animation by making complex walk cycles. The brain likes relevance more than ease.

Another way to describe it is, the only time when you do have energy is when you are under stress, when there is adrenaline and cortisol pumping through your blood. This is the kind of state in which I worked on ColorTool and Hell Slayer. I burned out, not once but three times.

Hypothyroidism can be seen as a dysfunction of the energy system. Basically imagine what would it be like if you only had 10% of the energy everybody else has. You want to do things, you are highly motivated, but your brain and hands are constantly tired and won't cooperate.
