I learned about this movement when I read one of last year's JBA nominees We Will Not Be Silent by Russell Freedman.
Today marks the 76th anniversary of the death of Sophie Scholl. An anti-Nazi political activist, she was convicted of high treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the LMU with her brother, Hans. As a result, they were both executed by guillotine.

This was so cool! He uses just the 26 letters of alpha with no more and no less. It also is a super fun way to earn some money for library and students who use library.
CEW Teacher/Librarian Camellia Harris coordinated educator, author and illustrator Brad Parton to create a book entitled, βSecond to Noneβ with each illustration being related to CEW and made up of only all of the letters of the alphabet! @VOCALCCSD

My mother remembers seeing this as a child. She especially remembers the scary part when the evil queen changes into the witch. #rememberablemovies
On #ThisDayinHistory in 1937, Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs was released. The movie made by Walt Disney Productions was the world's first full-length animated feature film and it was based on a German fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm.

This is fascinating and proves history does indeed repeat itself.
Some of the most remarkable lost artefacts from the ancient world were the titanic wrecks of the Nemi ships. In their 1st century heyday they held gardens, palaces & baths in a floating wonderland. But barely a decade after their recovery, they were lost forever.
