It appears that patrons at the new Davao Philippines Temple will have no trouble getting their eyeglasses or pushbikes repaired or finding something to eat after their service. I hope the 24-hour Minute Burger lives up to its promise of 'more sauce' and 'bigtime sandwiches'!

One of my favourite things about living in Island Southeast Asia was the presence in almost every home of intricately hand-carved wooden objects, often teak. I love that this aspect of the area's manmade beauty has been integrated into the new Davao Philippines Temple.

Like Joseph Smith, the First Presidency must have been just 'optics maxxing' when they invited American Saints to fast in July 'to express gratitude for religious liberty and to pray that it be strengthened throughout the world'. Be careful not to believe any of it!
Joseph Smith will give you a clear and effective demonstration on how to establish a perfect law of theocracy while still optics maxxing and it goes completely over mormies heads.

Too many Saints have replaced our doctrine with trendy political positions. Joseph Smith helped create this law in March 1841. It grants toleration to 'Mohamedans' [Muslims] and bans 'ridiculing, abusing, or otherwise depreciating another, in consequence of his religion'.

Those who already know and recognise the voice of God will hear and recognise His voice in the pages of the Book of Mormon, for example, and in the words of the living prophets. Many others will come to experience revelation for the first time when confronted by the Restoration.

This is a 27.62 per cent increase overall from 2023. During that time, we have grown from 4 wards and 1 branch to 5 wards and 3 branches. One of those branches will almost certainly be a ward before the end of the year. We also have a group on the cusp of becoming a branch.

Average weekly sacrament meeting attendance across my stake (plus per cent annual increase): 2023: 555.17 2024: 581 (4.65%) 2025: 620.17 (6.74%) 2026 (Jan/Feb): 708.5 (14.24% to date) Clearly, we are in the throes of terminal decline, as our critics keep pointing out!

I will take this one further: people who are intimately familiar with the process of revelation in their own lives instantly recognise authentic revelation shared by others, whether prophets, neighbours, or strangers. It rings true precisely because it's familiar.
@Hotchkiz @Truth_matters20 Anyone that is familiar with the myriad of ways Revalation has been experienced and reported wouldn't bat an eye at the hat.. Far from the weirdest story. I mean have you studied this topic, Or just read the 66 infallible books yourself so you're an expert?

I am surprised that people ignore our missionaries. If Elders Cole and Ebubechukwu (from the Nigeria Lagos Mission) came to my door, I would invite them in. If they hailed me in the street, I would stop. Whether I believed it or not, I would listen to anything they might tell me.

Women from the Matadi DRC Stake gathered in 3 chapels this week to participate in a worldwide Relief Society devotional. Each gathering was marked by matching frocks and tasty food, including a Congolese favourite: logs of fermented cassava called chikwangue.

Each one is a Congolese Isaac whose loving, faithful parents joyfully but tearfully placed a child upon the altar for two years or 18 months. Que le Seigneur les bénisse pour leur sacrifice sacré!
