For a few fleeting weeks, I can drive to work in the daylight. These pictures were taken at 5:15 this morning, just minutes from our home; a beautiful sky with a fishing boat just offshore; absolutely breathtaking.

Very proud of my son Josh. He completed the Special Olympics Nova Scotia Provincial Games at Acadia University with two medals, both Bronze in 100 metres and Shot Put!

I love this time of year. For a few weeks, I drive to work in daylight. As I get into my car I can hear the lobster boats heading out for another day of fishing. This picture, taken at around 5:15 this morning, is just a couple of minutes from our place in Bayfield.

Feels like a step back in time, changing buses in Halifax for a weekend trip and the bus station is also the Via train station. Did a lot of travelling by train as a child and a student. Something about train travel that was truly special.

This weekend, I received the prestigious Father Cyril Bauer Award from @TheatreAnt Saturday night, recognizing a significant contribution to theatre in Antigonish. With the award is an Alice Hoskins print of the Bauer Theatre, a place that I hold so dear.

It's believed to be the first time a provincial government has appeared before the CRTC. Government's Build Nova Scotia made a presentation to the commission on improving high speed internet and cell phone coverage in the province.

Walking by the stadium @stfxuniversity, students running on the track to the sounds of Elton John (Your Song) and the Eagles (Heartache Tonight) playing on the speakers. Some old souls here.

We made a day trip to Pictou, a beautiful community. While there, I was reminded of this, the No. 2. Construction Battalion. Formed in 1916 and initially based in Pictou, it was the largest Black military unit in Canadian military history.
