Recently, BCCA welcomed Dunlap & Kyle to hear about their advancements in IT within the tire industry. They have made it their mission to push the industry away from pen and paper and into modern standards of IT such as electronic data storage and electronic proof of delivery.

Today's student spotlight is River Stults! River's project for the python unit was a Television simulator that had features like channels and a remote. River’s also in charge of catering meals with procurement team and helps manage the stock of items around BCCA. Thanks River!

The Django language is commonly used to combine python languages, as well as HTML & CSS languages. Students will learn about this language for 10 weeks. Keep an eye out for the two Unit Projects that will stem from this language.

Last Friday, BCCA welcomed Clay McLeod (Director of product engineering at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis) to talk about tech opportunities in the healthcare world and to discuss how the skills students' are learning can be applied across many different fields.

Last Friday, students had their quarterly evaluations with members from the board to gauge their progress on their coursework as well as reviewing their peer feedback. Students will continue to have these throughout their time at basecamp to keep track of their progress.
