Keen to watch the #Lionesses England v Denmark on TV tonight but it seems free-to-air broadcaster Channel 7 is once again not showing the game. Any ideas? I’m not subscribing to Optus. #FIFAWomensWorldCup.

Why on earth can't we watch the women's world cup on free to air TV in Australia, the host country? Channel 7 hold the rights yet have chosen not to show tonight's game, on any of their channels. Baffling. Infuriating! #WWC2023.

And to wrap up, a shoutout to my queue buddies (good luck everyone), to everyone I’ve been chatting with here on Twitter, and to Milan in the passport office who is a decent and helpful human.

It was all worth it. We travel tomorrow.

And so the passport is apparently ready to print. But wait. The system is down. Nothing can progress until it’s been fixed.

They’ve taken pity on the campers and let us inside to get warm. I’m now first in line. Heart is racing. #passportoffice.

Office has opened and those lucky enough to have received the magic email are starting to stream through and pick up their precious passports.

7am the queues are snaking round the block again. A quiet hum. Tired, anxious faces. Staff arriving for work and a rumour the office may open early.

Camping outside the passport office in Sydney. Already 5 of us here by midnight. One more working day left to get my kid’s passport. Send luck please.

I’d love to know if there are real people out there with the capacity to help. Many @dfat replies appear to be stock responses and/or automated.

Dear @dfat, are you monitoring this account? I have a serious passport predicament, have called, emailed and today lined up for 7.5 hours at the passport office in Sydney with no satisfactory outcome. Please help.

It is an utter shambles. Turns out all the hours spent on the phone were a waste, yielding false assurances and wrong information. Remains to be seen if the 7.5hrs of queueing at the passport office was worth it. #passportdelays @DFATNSW.

12.50pm have left the passport office. Very unsatisfactory outcome. “We’ve escalated the application. You’ll get an email telling you when it’s ready.” Have been told this on the phone 4 times already. No email has ever arrived. Stress levels higher than ever.

Queue update. End is in sight after 5hrs 15 outside and 1hr 40 inside. But this is just to make an inquiry. #passportdelays #dfat

A young woman just flew out of the lift. “My flight is in 3 hours!” She was bundled to the front of the pick-up queue and had her passport in 10 mins. Her queue family is willing her to make her flight to Vietnam.
