It's funny that the topic I thought everyone else found trivial to understand, but I struggled with it as a young #AndroidDev, ended up being my most successful blog post, by far. What is Context in Android? https://t.co/v5VrXnmACm It's 2 years old and it still averages 25 vpd.

most of what i do in @replika is onboard users into new beta and tune prompts and ux. it's so damn cool to see them get *this* excited and go 'what the hell is this voodoo magic' every time 🔮 got to hang out with the ceo @dkreplika last weekend & touch some grass in our swag 💘

i was testing @replika (again) and she hit me with "today feels cold, stay warm out there." the exact thing my friend texted me that morning i spend my days talking to people on behalf of an ai companion app. tough, yes, but i've gotten quite good at giving an elevator pitch

One skill that no one mentions, but it helped me build my #AndroidDev career, is communication. In any conversation, I try to focus on finding the solution for both sides, and not arguing who is right and who is wrong.

Finding a new job as an #AndroidDev is not a simple task. Here is something that helped me prepare myself for job interviews that I did in the past. Check my newly published article: What every Android Developer should have in their GitHub? https://t.co/kMeHn3Q1VO

Great resource of free APIs 📢 Use them in order to showcase your #AndroidDev skills: - Fetch data from REST API (Retrofit) - Handle async communication (Coroutines/LiveData) - Organize code with MVVM/MVI - Include unit tests - Organize your folders https://t.co/4hfs2u3r6V

The Showcase Project that every #AndroidDev should have in their GitHub must encapsulates fundamental components and it must be simple. Cover these two things, and you are all set: 1. Fetch and Display list of items. 2. Navigate to Detailed information of selected item.

20/80 rule as #AndroidDev is focused on these building blocks (assuming you have Kotlin basics): - Compose UI components (Text, Image, Modifier) - Compose UI layouts (Column, Row, Box, LazyColumn, LazyRow) - Fetch the data from Rest API (Retrofit) - Simple caching (SharedPrefs)

Better to be inconsistent than non-existent. The modern struggle: not starting or returning to old habits because the world isn't aligned with your needs. Perfection doesn't exist, so why let it hold you back?
