The people, like this mother, who can deal with their own tragedy while still thinking about others who also suffer are amazing. I have a lot to learn.

This recognition of imbalance, coming from one of the people most hurt & most affected by the Humboldt crash, is one of the most beautiful demonstrations of allyship I’ve seen.
Thank you, deeply, Celeste Leray-Liecht. We can all learn from you.

It's called empathy.
This is from someone who recognizes what it means to treat everyone with humanity, in spite of deep sorrow & loss, regardless of privilege.
A lesson I hope many people will humble themselves to learn.

Wish I could help. When you see how Canada can come together for Humboldt. I know we can do more. Could every southern community adopt/partner with one in the North!

If Humboldt mom wants to build bridges she could start by not referring to it as the "Colten Boushie trial". It was the trial of Gerald Stanley.
