Worth observing, the percentage of women is actually much higher than Canadian police writ large (30% vs 22%); Minorities are also higher (12% vs 8%). Though both under represent vs Ontario population shares. (30% vs 51%) and (12% vs 29%) respectively. 1/2

So are most professional regulatory body investigators (lawyer, accountant, etc). Former police officers are professionals trained in investigations; it’s a natural pool to draw upon when building an investigative team.

@SaraMojtehedz
Sara, I very much respect your posts lately. I honestly thought you were in the Unions’ pockets but you’re taking a more balanced approach. Losing a lot of Police / Police Union support for “The Star” though
@balkissoon
Is this the inmates guarding the prison? My understanding is even those investigators that are not former police go for training at police schools such as Alymer in ON, which instills the same outlook and values and question objectiveness.
@balkissoon
Maybe these investigative units should have community members from communities lost affected by the violence. Get people not in the police bubble.

@MatthijsseAmy
do they just transfer them from Parish to Parish like what the Catholic Church was doing to the Priests so they can cause harm to the Innocent?
