All City Offices will be closed on Labor Day, September 2nd. Trash pick up will run one day behind schedule all week. If you have bulky item pickup in your neighborhood next week, it will take place on Thursday, September 4th.

PUBLIC NOTICE: The electric department will be out throughout the night tonight, August 26th, doing the annual thermal imaging of all feeders in town. They will be using orange UTVs marked City of Baldwin City on the side.

3rd Street is closed at High Street for asphalt repair, after the sewer line installation earlier this summer. Public Works expects to have the road reopened by approximately 2pm.

This morning, August 8, an outage affected businesses from 414 Ames to 400 Ames, as well as three homes to the north. The electric crew received the notification at 8:20am, and repaired the damage potentially caused by a lightning strike by 8:55am, restoring power.

US-56 from US-59 to Baldwin City chip and seal work started today and should finish by early next week, according to KDOT. Pavement markings will be replaced once the seal has aged for 2-4 weeks so a temporary centerline will be in place meanwhile.

Interior work is nearly completed on the new Community Center, with a potential construction completion date of August 12th. A number of things need to take place before @baldwin_rec moves to the building, and before City Council meetings move to their new permanent home.
