Work progresses on the Orchard Lane culvert project. The temporary access road has been installed, and a portion of the old crumbling culvert removed. The contractor hopes to be completely finished with this work within two weeks.

West side chip and seal work is set to begin in August of 2024, and will cover areas including Orchard, Indiana and Jersey, side roads west of 11th and a portion of Elm, Main, College, a portion of Lawrence, South, Elk Horn, Bison, and Mustang.

The Orchard Lane culvert replacement project is set to begin Monday, May 13th. A temporary access road will be built on the west side of Orchard Lane to allow access for residents, with the culvert removal planned for Tuesday, May 14th. More info: .

Quayle Street, High Street, 2nd Street... the 11th Street sidewalk project is nearly complete, with the other portions around town also nearing completion. Please note that Kansas Gas Service is replacing a line on High Street, so it's a bit crowded in that area.

11th Street is now open to through traffic. However, Killough Construction is still finishing final details on the 11th Street sidewalk and workers may be present for the next few days. Please drive carefully and give them plenty of room to work.
