Brazil literally profits more from an imported product than the company that produced it. Stop to think about this, a company that makes a $1000 product, profits less than $1000 on it, and Brazil profits more than the value of the product itself.

How can a leader of a country that profits over 100% on every import can be this hypocritical and pretend that Brazil isn't a country run by pure protectionism and above average tax duties? It's a normal practice in Brazil to do "compound taxes". Seriously, I'm fuming.

Brazil applies a 60% import duty from any country. Then, the importer pays an additional tax called ICMS that's calculated not on the value of the product, but the total of "Product + Shipping + Import duty", which adds up to a total of over 100% tax duties on import.

Brazilian president Luis Inácio Lula da Silva said recently: ".. we can't go back to defending protectionism" Brazil is the one country that can't say that without sounding tone death and hypocritical. Brazil practices protectionism agains EVERY country on earth.

@Apple We should be able to choose how we use and share our personal data. In this case neither the EU nor @Apple think we should or that we can make the choice by ourselves. As you can see, that’s making me and a bunch of other people pretty upset.

And all that just because I live in the EU. That was an @Apple decision to not allow the features and not give their users the choice to accept what would mean to use the features as they are.

First time ever that I’m not excited to an iOS update. First time that I feel “cheated” by the big corp. I paid as much as everyone else for all my Apple devices, I’m always on pretty modern hardware but I won’t be able to use the biggest update features on macOS and iOS.

(5/5)I made sure I’d be home all day in order to receive the delivery, that they didn’t even attempt and are not allowing me to go pick up at their distribution center. Ultimately a pretty bad experience with both @apple and @UPS

(4/5) “Let me be honest, Apple messed up today and our drivers will not be able to make the delivery, only on Monday” Aside from the promise of the delivery from two companies, @Apple and @UPS, this shouldn’t go just like that.

(3/5) I told her I was in front o Buliro Klub, talked to the person in charge and they said they close at 2pm today and that @UPS didn’t stop by. After pressuring the operator a little longer she said, and I’m quoting her words:

(2/5) Delivery scheduled for today, suddenly @UPS marks the delivery as attempted. No notification, no call. I called their hotline and the operator said: “The parcel will be delivered at a collection point” to which I asked which one and she said “Buliro Klub.”

(1/5) Apparently both @UPS and @Apple left their paying customers in Czech Republic out in the cold failing with both their promises to deliver a product that has already been paid for.

While on the subject, EU airports dint really get better, right? Gates at @PragueAirport can’t comfortably hold the amount of passengers they get in a flight. 35 seats on my gate with 189 people for this flight. I must say that South America is doing a whole lot better.

To clarify, every single time in the past that I traveled to almost 30 countries they (border control) always say to go through passport control together as a family.
