The infuriating thing is that @OctopusEnergy won't take responsibility for their own work. it is up to the customer to find another electrician, pay their callout just so they write a report to send back to @OctopusEnergy to come and fix their own error.

@OctopusEnergy Independent electrician came out. The installers wired our aircon into the 5th terminal which is meant for special tarriffs, which doesn't make sense for aircon. The arcing was caused by a wire that was a bit too short so the bend radius was too small - cut a cable tie to release

Dangerously bad service from @OctopusEnergy - installed a smart meter in our home. After they left we heard a sizzling noise as one of the contacts was arcing. Called customer service. Its apparantly "not an emergency". We have to get an electrician out to say it was their fault.

I just used public transport for the first time in 16 months. I think I've forgotten how to London.

My father died the day before yesterday. He was 85 years old with heart problems and dementia. He ran a bath for himself, got in, and must have just drifted off because mum found him there looking peaceful. Not a bad way to go really. We'll miss him terribly.
