Congratulations!!! to @Rose_McN and @Nittim Uttam Kamble both from David Seung’s group @JohnInnesCentre on winning the MECEA Awards 🎉🎉🎉.Both gave really interesting talk about their work on A and B starch granules and the importance in baking and brewing. @MonogramUK.

Ian Tsang also a 2nd year PhD from @niabscience gave a nice talk on Hairy roots-promoting increased wheat nutrition. He showed a novel root hair mutant in wheat and that root hair length and architecture are key for plant yield development .@MonogramUK #monogram24.

Really clear and nice talk by Sarah Bailey from @JohnInnesCentre on exploring the effects of disrupting disease susceptibility factors. Shows by targeting certain yellow rust susceptibility-linked genes, less .negative effect on overall wheat fitness is observed @MonogramUK.
