6 (incredibly long) years ago to the day I got an email to say I received a DCRC scholarship, by some fortuitous event, yesterday I sat under this tree with Mum and sobbed a little as I submitted my thesis. To everyone that’s helped (or dragged) me through, thank you 🤍 #PhDone

Today I do my final Milestone Presentation for my PhD. And my goodness it feels unreal to not have Mum here as I finish up on this journey. This morning I found this and once again I am reminded that she loved me enough to see me through all the rest of my days 💗 #tellyourkids

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼If I had a $ for every time I’ve read “male mice only” in a paper…. .
When it comes to medical research the world revolves around male cells and male lab animals, with new treatments largely tested on men. Today the focus shifted to women with the launch of a new Health Equity Centre in Sydney.
