While I was on my way home from SC yesterday, I stopped by to see the graves of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh as well as Stephen Smith to pay my respects.
Cute salamanders were sunning themselves on Stephen’s headstone. Maybe it’s a sign of good luck and good news to come. 🤞💚

Update: Finished the quilt I started 8 years ago! Last step is making sure loose thread ends from the quilting are tucked in and it’ll be ready to use. I can see a million imperfections, but it’s so satisfying to finally finish a project I started so long ago.

And now the solicitor who agreed to Bowen Turner’s cushy plea deal in the first place has withdrawn his judicial candidacy before he could be voted on tomorrow.
Thinking of Karl Stoller tonight and hoping he can rest a smidge easier.
He yelled the entire time and called the arresting officer a bitch and used a homophobic slur. He also tried all the manipulation tactics in the book: demanding, apologizing, pleading and insulting on repeat.
