Symantec paid $1.2B for their rebrand! Yes B for billion! There are other companies that have paid lots of money for rebranding but because this one is government now, it’s questionable. It’s more than just the logo!

Agencies like pentagram charges hundreds of thousands of dollars to do branding depending on how complex the project is, could be millions, and you think it’s a government thing. Go check other expensive rebrands in the world then maybe you’d understand better.

You have to simultaneously upgrade wiring, plumbing, adjust rooms, maintain safety and operations. The visible part is the “paint job,” but the value is in the structure underneath! It’s not just the logo! There are systems!

I know many will have a gun to my head but hear me out. Rebranding is not just logo! I hear you and I quit agree that at first glance the rebrand looks like only minor tweaks: the dot moves, the colour changes. But design at this scale isn’t about pixels. 👇🏾👇🏾
