In the first photo Kevin is standing at a pedal powered table saw!! Just pump with your feet to spin up the blade. A flywheel keeps the momentum going while you make your cut! We also tried a bandsaw, scroll saw and router that worked the same way.

Our afternoon PD, after being at AVFN was with Kevin Wood and his museum and workshop. Kevin took us for a tour and let us try out many of his pedal-powered tools, educating us on the history of many of the technologies we take for granted in schools today.
