And even though I’ll always be considered stage IV, and I’ll always be a cancer patient, I’m still here. And you’re still here with me. On September 30th, we’re heading to Rosebrook Falls.
And I hope you love this world as much as I loved creating it.

I stepped into a brand-new world, with characters who didn’t have to fight through the drugs, the nausea, or the pain just to be heard. I’m still on meds. I still get regular scans. I have bone pain that makes me cry and panic attacks that need Xanax.

Burning Daylight was the first story that showed up after the chemo fog lifted, when my muses came storming back like they had something to prove. Writing it felt like breathing again.

I wrote the final Never After book mid-treatment & went on tour fresh off a hospital stay for sepsis. Weeks after my doctors agreed to pause chemo. My body was recovering from the two years of poison I had to take to save it. And then I got stronger. And the cancer stayed away.

I chose to share my journey because I’m a public figure, & I’ve always believed things happen for a reason. Maybe I wouldn’t make it. But if my story helped even one of you, then it would all mean something. Most of you found me before the cancer.
You stayed with me through it.

Not too long ago, I thought I was going to die. My cancer wouldn’t go away, and they told me I’d be on chemo for the rest of my life. I was so sick. So, so sick.
And my muses were gone.
