Auth.js is the second most popular auth option in the State of React survey. Usage is only one thing though. We want people to use our libraries with joy. Most of comments are around bad docs or "hard to integrate" (technically also docs). We agree and are working on it.

After much confusion and many requests to make our Next.js integration of Auth.js (NextAuth.js) edge-compatible (it always has been), our Edge Compatibility article will finally become obsolete. No more split config!. Great work by the Next.js team! 🎉.

There are many reasons a maintainer didn't reply right away - timezone difference, maintainer offline, missed the mention on GitHub/elsewhere, etc. Disclosing responsibly avoids spreading fear or exposing actual issues too soon, so the maintainers can follow up professionally.
