Sure, Guy Pearce and Adrien Brody are great, but the movie is a cliched, meandering, melodramatic mess that of COURSE argues that it's the destination not the journey in its closing line. Ignore the hype.

Did you know the co-star of one of the great screen comedies is also a huge Holmesian who’s written a series featuring Sherlock’s brother Mycroft? I’ve read the 1st two and they’re fantastic. Apparently the man played some basketball, too. Legend.
