Inspirational & comforting. TY for this @megmccarron. Restaurant/bakery life isn't for everyone, and searching for your own place in the wonderful world of pastry is not always sugar & spice, but knowing there is a supportive community out there helps tremendously.
Until the pandemic, no one would have imagined that a dozen new bakeries run by pastry chefs could sprout up in LA, more or less overnight, and sell out every week. And yet, that’s exactly what’s happened.

Papayas yay or nay? I've been told that one of the my first words were "papaya" (also my dad's fave fruit) but I find its scent offensive, vomit-like 🤢. And no, I'm not yucking anyone's yum because apparently it's because of the papain enzyme.
