i’m at my wits end and i cannot help but feel like im being punished for something i have no say over i just wanna finish university and get out of here and have a life

lets say for the sake of this argument, as an example that is nowhere near the same situation i was in during the past few days, i approach people in my academic institution for help with an issue (that we have all agreed and understood that was out of my control) and they say:

i love it when the people i’m told to seek help to (certain professionals that are responsible for a certain aspect of my life that i value highly) for assistance during a ridiculously stressful time in my life and they tell me to just “maybe stop doing this aspect of your life”

#ACLC1080 Restorying is everyone nowadays. Some use it as a tool to reclaim a story and turn it into something inspiring. Others use it just to fit in to the expectations of society, making themselves look good (e.g. Diversity for diversity’s sake).

#ACLC1080 The world wide web has a long history and thus an even longer list of problems that we cannot solve in just a 2 minute presentation. However, I love how we are all talking about it and bringing awareness to all these different topics— and that’s what matters most.

#ACLC1080 I have to remind myself that while having “comfort characters” are cool and they can help a person a lot— but at the end of the day, these are not real people and we shouldn’t rely on them for anything. I still think Blues Clues helped shaped who I am today though…

#ACLC1080 Podcasts and radio shows are different shades of the same colour; to everyone, it’s all the same, but purists will get mad if you say that to their faces.

You get feedback in real time, seeing details and suggestions in your photos that you otherwise wouldn’t have seen. But other than that, and I think the most important part is, you get to enjoy it all the more by sharing this experience with people you care about. (2/2)

#ACLC1080 You do not realise how important tools are until you are face to face with a beautiful full moon and a phone with low quality camera. Why can’t my iphone capture the full contrast and pattern of the moon in all it’s symmetrically balanced beauty 😭😭😭

#ACLC1080 If cars, planes, and even boats have autopilot now, why can’t we have the same for motorcycles and bikes? I mean, it has less wheels and even less passengers to worry about.

#ACLC1080 Time was going by so slow. But it wasn’t manipulated or put on 0.5x speed, time was just normal. My brain is just unable to understand that. For some reason, it won’t stop buzzing (aside from the migraine) and my only fix was to grab my phone to distract myself. (2/3)

#ACLC1080 Posted late because of the frantic hurricane prep— but during the long wait in the grocery, I came to a thought: Are people in iron lungs considered a cyborg? What about those with a titanium knee? Or maybe someone with a microchip embedded inside their golden tooth?

Another late night thought: The lack of any dopplenames I found was slightly disappointing. But it made me think if having dopplenames makes you vulnerable to disinformation, who’s to say that being the first of your name on the internet wouldn’t either? (1/2) #ACLC1080
