A proud day. Never felt more English. When someone is comfortable enough to moan about a different subset of foreigners to my face. THAT is when you've been accepted into the fold. š“ó §ó ¢ó „ó ®ó §ó æ #casualracism

After seeing multiple medical professionals down-play the role racism played in the death of #DrSusanMoore, I have been thinking of how to describe the logistics of how racism manifests in medicine. One way is what I will, in this thread, call "cumulative de-prioritization." 1/

When will the application guide be released for General & Vascular Surgery?...failure to publish when the application opens seems to be a bit of a gamble @JCST_Surgery @NHS_HealthEdEng

Soooo, I'm sure myself and a few others are curious about plans for ST3 recruitment this year for surgical specialities. Are there any plans in place and when might the applicants be informed? @RCSnews @RCSEd @JCST_Surgery thanks.

Failed by 0.65% when the pass mark is normally 5-7% lower than that decided upon by the colleges. What has inflated the pass mark? Cheating? Resits? Genuinely smart cohort who are now being penalised compared with previous exam sittings? Do the colleges need resit £ this badly?
The pass mark this year was set at 76.9%. This was an intercollegiate decision and is therefore something that we canāt comment on further. Candidates will be receiving feedback on their own performance related to the pass mark in their results letter in the next week or so.

@RCSnews 77% is not accurate as they gave the option to all candidate to resit before exam results day, so everyone how didnāt feel good on that day will resit the exam, hence the pass mark reached 77%, the only option is to use a fixed average from all the previous years.
