A lot is going to be made of this rally as visually it was insane, but it’s worth noting the 2nd place finisher came home in nearly 27 seconds in a dirt sprint. He was running, but they were stopping.
Aye Eye hit the side of the gate and was well back. Still last turning for home, Aye Eye rallies by everybody even going from 5-path to the rail under Javier Castellano to win SAR 6th, a maiden auction for 2YO as 26-1 longest shot on board for Joe Orseno. 1-3-2-7.

As Commissioner of Racing, and as someone who, foolishly, was the leading buyer at Saratoga’s Fasig sale, I’m not surprised by this year’s record sale number. Here’s the simplest, most accurate reason why: GREED. Definition??? A selfish and excessive desire for more (money).

The Disqualification of Zulu Kingdom today is one of the worst disqualifications I have ever seen in a Graded stakes race. I have watched this 20 times from every angle. Castellano was already moving over into Luther almost fouling him before Zulu Kingdom ever got close. Maybe.
