#Libraries are special to us - they welcome everyone equally, regardless of immigration status, and for many of our clients, a library card is the first and most accessible document that validates their sense of belonging in their new community. Thank you @prattlibrary!.

Recently we arranged a field trip for AWE clients to Enoch Pratt Central Library. The wonderful library staff who gave us a tour, provided interpretation, and sent each client home with their very own library card.

Many of our clients take comfort in sharing cultures and traditions from home as they settle into life in MD. Recently, our client Halimatou led a cooking class through our Client Ambassador Program and made a traditional Guinean dish for clients and staff. Thank you Halimatou!

Volunteers are essential to our work - they teach classes, cook community lunches, deliver food to clients, are community mentors, organize donations, help maintain our building, & much more. We are so grateful for our volunteers!

We're so grateful to the nine wonderful students from @VanderbiltU who spent their Spring Break with us last week! They cooked lunches for clients, taught ESL, painted, assembled furniture, and much more! We hope their time spent with us was meaningful &we so enjoyed having them!
