independent astronomer. exploring space from earth with my own telescopes

Since a lot of people are confused about what this is, every telescope here is owned by a person. Each person can log in remotely to use their telescope to capture photos of space from our dark skies!
This is what I’ve been up to the last year! Building the largest remote observatory in the world (By quantity of scopes)

I love when hub accounts say that NASA had any involvement with something I did alone

To save you guys disappointment and effort, this comet does not look like this naked eye, even from dark skies. Lots of long exposures and stacking were used for this image!

🌌 Triple the RASAs, Triple the Data 🌌 Bray (@astrofalls) captured this epic shot of his three Celestron RASAs under the Milky Way at Starfront Observatories (@starfront_observatories). Why three? Efficiency. Instead of spending 6 hours with a single filter, then swapping and

Three RASAs versus one of the toughest targets in the sky: CTA 1. Bray (@astrofalls) set up at Starfront Observatories (@starfront_observatories) to capture this elusive supernova remnant. It was first detected in 1960 during a @caltechastro radio survey by D. E. Harris and J.

One funny question we get at the observatory a lot is whether or not we are going to randomly increase prices on everyone. It’s funny because this is the total opposite of what will happen. The core mission of starfront is to improve access to dark skies, and so the cost for
