Gemini 2.5 pro is garbage with @windsurf_ai but decent with Gemini CLI. Surprised to see how the internal prompting shapes performance. In windsurf it occasionally utters repeating nonsense and just keeps apologizing for making mistakes.

Interestingly, Grok was the only one able to surface smaller indie-hacker projects that matched my description the most. Perplexity just admitted that there was no perfect match and mentioned adjacent tools. ChatGPT results were completely useless.

Grok seems to be pretty good at finding services / apps that match what you describe. Much better than ChatGPT web search and better than Perplexity.

Then it helped me authenticate with an undocumented endpoint. And all of this only took a few minutes. O3 was even able to recognize the encoding of the auth data 😮.

LLMs are a game changer for reverse engineering web APIs!. I wanted to see how a web component fetched its data. Gemini read the minified JS, found a hidden browser API, and hinted at a Pusher WebSocket powering real-time updates.

If local user storage > 10MB: consider Dexie.JS. Start with a KV store as DB. Redis through upstash is great. Use t3 env to have type-safety for client and server envs. It's better than only zod schema validation!.

TIL: Always strive for simplicity.AI makes replacing code more practical than patching it. Google sheets as DB is not viable due to it's clunky API, but Notion is. Doing Stripe right is hard. A good guide on how to keep it simple:

What's most upsetting is that the judge is not even revising the decision after being informed about the facts. Maldita corrupcion!.

Here is my personal story about it:.A friend was complaining that he couldn't access our service on the weekends over weeks. So we investigated until we found out that Movistar was blocking that IP! Luckily the remedy is easy: a VPN.

It's very concerning how Spain is censoring the internet because of corruption! How can you block most of the internet to prevent illegal football streaming?. @theo vid explains very well how nonsensical the judges decision is:.

Your environment matters:Reduce distractions. Put your phone away. Ideally, create a dedicated space for focused work. Knowledge workers should learn brain management just as athletes manage their training and diets.

Time blocking > to-do lists: Better aligns tasks with available time, preventing disappointment from unattainable goals. Schedule boredom intentionally:It sparks new ideas. Let yourself just sit with nothing planned.

Walks: A surprisingly effective way to deeply think through a problem. Social media & email: Not just time wasters—context switching costs you ~15 min to regain full focus.

Take gaps after learning: They accelerate learning because your brain replays the information. Active recall beats highlighting: Forcing yourself to take notes or explain what you’ve learned is harder, but way more efficient.
