We loved our exhibition and sharing our prints to our families 🎨 #ArtisACE 💙

In the afternoon, we created our own radial symmetry prints. We really enjoyed working under the table using our pastels and we also enjoyed using the rollers to imprint our designs 🎨 #ArtisACE 💙

We had an awesome ACE Art day last Monday! 🎨 We enjoyed creating our own aprons with our old t-shirts as part of our sharing morning! Thank you parents for coming & providing us with the shirts 👕 #ArtisACE 💙

2nd week awards: ✒️ Well done Fynn on achieving your pen licence with lovely joined up handwriting! 🐧 Macaroni won Penguin points! ⭐ Lleyton, Star of the Week for always being a true role model with his work, attitude to learning & behaviour! 💯 Attendance for the week #ACE💙

Catching up... 1st week awards ✒️ Two more pen licence awarded! 🐧 Little Blue won Penguin Points! ⭐ Ruby, Star of the Week for always giving up her own time to look after the classroom. 💪🏼 Extra work completed in handwriting, Roman numerals & creative writing #ACE💙

A few weeks back, we took part in several afternoon sessions about Anti-Bullying. We learnt the different roles faced in bullying, created our own kindness agreement and created our own superheroes and powers to face bullying. @ABAonline #powerforgood

Finally, we finished the day with outside play and the Hinton house where we saw different trantulas, spiders, crabs, crickets and more! 🕷️🦀🦗 So incredibly proud of each child's enthusiasm and behaviour. A fun day was had by all 🥰💙 @TheBugParc @Astley_Primary

We loved visiting Kirby Tropical House. We were able to learn about different invertebrates, hold a whip tailed scorpion, see Amblypygids and Vinegaroons! We even saw scorpions produce their own light! We also loved the butterfly museum 🦋🦂 @TheBugParc @Astley_Primary

The snails were definitely our favourites! 🐌💙 @TheBugParc @Astley_Primary

The bug handling experience was the highlight of our day! We got to handle millipedes, cockroaches and snails alongside getting to see mantises, a tarantula and scorpion up close 🐌🕷️🦂Some very brave Penguins! 💪🏼💙 @Astley_Primary @TheBugParc

We then visited the tropical Butterfly House and enjoyed identifying the different species of butterflies alongside watching the Kois 🦋🎏 Huge smiles all around ☺️ @Astley_Primary @TheBugParc

Our first visit of the day was to the Comstock House 🐜 We learnt all the leaf-cutting ant colony alongside discovering millipedes, beetles and stick insects 🪲 We just couldn't believe the ants working above us! @TheBugParc @Astley_Primary
