The position is available now and is an ideal opportunity for a leader within higher education to better understand, and engage with the public procurement profession and its value in elevating public service.

Service terms are for three years. The Commission meets monthly via teleconferences. Travel is minimal but, if an in-person meeting is scheduled, NIGP will reimburse the cost of travel.

The program was initiated in Spring 2020 and there are NIGP-CPPs from 46 states and 5 provinces. The NIGP-CPP program is one of only two programs to be accredited by the prestigious ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

The Commission facilitates all activities related to NIGP’s certification programs including the NIGP Certified Procurement Professional designation held by 1,600 public procurement practitioners.
