First graders were thrilled to have the opportunity to visit other grade level classrooms and teachers while participating in PACT day literacy activities that drew upon our Strategic Objectives. Here is a look at some of the classroom tasks.

Our PACT activities allowed us to communicate and collaborate with some fellow first grade peers and teachers, who we may not see during the average day. In mixed teams we rotated through 5 classrooms to complete SEL activities. Many 1st graders commented they made new friends!

A SEL lesson on "Thought bubble or speech bubble?" First graders in 1-F think about the appropriateness of a statement they might want to say. Our criteria is to ask: Is it kind? Does it help or hinder? Does it show a good attitude? Would I want someone to say that to me?
