When a DAO or treasury wants to deploy capital into Bitcoin DeFi, they can use our SDK to create a Taproot output. Funds stay in a Bitcoin-native multisig while enabling interaction with L2 protocols, Ordinals, Runes, and emerging metaprotocols.

Asigna also enables composability: the same Taproot multisig works across the Bitcoin L1 and L2s like @Stacks @citrea_xyz @BotanixLabs @Arch and others. One security model, unified treasury management, composable across the entire Bitcoin ecosystem.

Plus, there are no smart contract risks because everything runs on the Bitcoin L1. No custodial risks because keys stay with signers. No significant additional trust assumptions beyond Bitcoin’s existing security model.

This is critical for BTCDeFi. Traditional multisigs expose all signing conditions on-chain. Taproot hides unused scripts in merkle leaves. Institutions get enterprise-grade governance without revealing their entire treasury structure to competitors.

The Script path: when signers disagree or complex governance is needed, we reveal the specific multisig script from the merkle tree. Only the executed script is revealed, while all other possible spending conditions remain private.

The Key path: when all signers agree, Asigna uses schnorr key aggregation to create a single signature that looks identical to any other bitcoin transaction. Maximum privacy, minimum on-chain footprint. perfect for routine treasury operations.

Here's how it works: taproot (bip-341) allows us to create outputs that can be spent either by a single aggregated public key OR by revealing a script from a merkle tree. This "key path vs script path" design is perfect for multisig treasury management.

Most "Bitcoin multisigs" actually run on sidechains or use smart contracts. Asigna uses taproot on the Bitcoin L1, with no additional trust assumptions or smart contract vulnerabilities.
