👉Policy intent doesn’t always translate into practice -local-level barriers often limit access to schemes for collateral-free loans or public procurement. #GreenLivelihoods

👉Market access continues to be a major challenge for women entrepreneurs. Strengthening supply chains, improving product quality, and creating direct consumer linkages are key.

💡 Key insights: 👉Women’s participation in India’s workforce has increased, but most remain in informal or unpaid roles pointing to the need for quality, equitable opportunities.

The discussion brought together Suhela Khan (UN Women India), Benjamin Mathew (CITTA India Education Foundation), and Ved Arya (Buddha Institute) to explore how inclusion, innovation, and sustainability can advance together.

This was the focus of the panel on ‘Accelerating Green and Inclusive Livelihoods’, moderated by Raisha Galib from Climate Asia at the Work4Progress India Annual Conference 2025, themed ‘Resilient Enterprise Ecosystems: Women & Youth-Led Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Inclusion’.
