Hey POTUS it is possible to “review” programs without stopping them completely. @PEPFAR is a crown jewel in global health and this will definitely cost lives as people cannot stay on their meds. Completely needless and cruel. But I guess that’s the point.
NEW from @apoorva_nyc --> Trump administration stopped a program to distribute H.I.V. meds launched by George W. Bush "that is credited with saving more than 25 million lives worldwide." The move could cost an estimated 600K lives in S. Africa alone in the next decade.
