Real talk I lowkey feel like “open world” Fire emblem has kinda already been done in Gaiden/SoV, Sacred Stones, Awakening… where you can progress through the main chapters but you also have some skirmishes to do if you want.
I don't even know what an open world FE game would exactly entail but I don't think I want it tbh. I like my linear design with some variation of routes very much. I don't even like the monastery or somniel so I don't think I'll be a fan of an open world fire emblem

I’ve genuinely never noticed that owls hang out by the bulletin boards and will fly over to them if you’re near one. I have like 400 hours in this game and this is the first time I’m noticing the owls. Wonder if there are any other small details I missed…
