Two things a landlord said to me yesterday as I was attempting to help a neighbor negotiate their eviction . "Their not my family. I'm not paying their bills!" "If [they] don't pay, I still have to pay multiple house payments!" Both stunning admissions of Western ideology.

But the real dystopian plot twist is how mental health facility lobbies are filled with neurodivergents that are being gaslit to believe they're the problem, not the system. All for a pretty profit that upholds the status quo and delays the advent of a new, better world.

One of the cringiest things to be encountered in this system is people enforcing rules that are bad at it because they know the rules are arbitrary, but they do it anyway. 🤢
