Check out this animation by @jesi_rgb (Jesús Rascón). Built with AT Name Sans, @coldtypexyz, and @cavalry__app, and original music by Jesús. P.S. if you’re looking to animate your own logos, fonts, infographics... you should reach out to Jesús. He has some skills!

Name Sans v0.10 is now released on @futurefonts! I had originally intended to release v1.0 by now, but... I keep finding more things to improve. Still, I’ve made a bunch of significant improvements, and I wanted to make them available! Read more about it: https://t.co/4mOvO5ZWzP

Luckily, there is a workaround that font producers can use to avoid the bug, but it shouldn’t be required. Distinct entries for nameID 25 seem to hack around the bug. More info: https://t.co/7H3KQ9Fd5H

→ It specifically allows several types of font modifications, especially in terms of what you can do with variable fonts, subsetting fonts for the web, and outlining fonts for artwork like logos and posters, etc.

→ It allows people to do more with the fonts, including embedding them into apps and ebooks. → It is a lot more clear about what usage is allowed, rather than just what is disallowed. It also (tries to) use language that is as readable as possible, avoiding legalese.

More than that, font licensing allows a type foundry to assert their beliefs about what is useful and fair to sell for a given price. The biggest upgrades to my EULA are...

Really, though, upgrading my font EULA has been a fairly big project, and one of my most important ones! When you “buy a font,” you are *really* buying a license to that font, so the license is a huge part of the product I sell.

Today, I’m excited to release new, improved licensing for my fonts! That may sound strange if you are into fonts for their aesthetics rather than for their licensing (i.e. you are a normal person). https://t.co/6JiNPqYmwK
