I’m just going to repeat this: The U.S. doesn’t have the capacity to manufacture its own *penicillin*. It imports 90%+ of its supply from China. China is also a near-exclusive source of many essential pharmaceutical ingredients. This will break the American healthcare system.

For Indigenous people, they were still doing it until 1998 when the last residential school was closed. Now, they use the foster care system & federal agencies to strip children away. Currently, the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) is being challenged again. In 2025.

I talked to a guy recently who worked for 40 years in a glass factory. He said it was 125°F at all times and they had to stop every 10 minutes to pour buckets of cold water on themselves or they would pass out.
I think a lot of people romanticize factory work because their major idea of it comes from "How It's Made" episodes. Kinda breezy and stress-free!
