Amorim is paying for the sins of INEOS. That singular decision to extend Ten Hag's contract - despite irrefutable evidence of failure - has ruined the entire season. I'll take whatever the season offers (relegation won't happen) and hope there's massive clear out next summer.

What’s evident is that these same players have played in different systems and nothing has worked. Only a few deserve their place in the setup. It would get worse before it gets better.
If - big IF - he builds his team and it still doesn't work, what happens when the next manager wants to play 4.3.3? Sell everybody Amorim bought and buy the new manager "his own players"? Basically, the same thing the club has done for 10 years?

I think it’s too early to call. You can’t look at a team in 4th place and another languishing in 13th position and make this conclusion. The mess at United is not what the outcome of a single game would sort.
