An excellent read on the use of photographs and other visuals in collective identity formation of a protest collective co-authored by DMRC 's @DannyKirby79. I loved the authors' refreshing take on witnessing. @socialmediaQUT @qutdmrc

Couldn't make it to Hamburg, but my incredible colleagues from @KaivalyaPlays showcased our project Mining Hate at the @MediaFuturesEU symposium. Great to see our work bear fruit and looking forward to take the performance to audiences globally!
#MediaFutures - Artists for Media: the spreading of #misinformation in India is showcased by the 'Mining Hate' project, that aims to create awareness of the practices used by anonymous hackers to target female journalists and minorities. @arjun_s2 @KaivalyaPlays

Not really looking forward to thousands of pro-genocide suspended accounts coming back to life, thanks to Elon’s latest edict
The plot thickens: pictured in this network is evidence of rampant, large-scale platform manipulation to get the hashtag "IStandWithP*tin" trending. It is far worse than Twitter admits. The red accounts are suspended, but the blue accounts are all still active.

Nika Shakarami and Sarina Esmailzadeh were killed by Iranian security forces after joining the widespread protests in the country. Their bodies were handed back to their families bruised and disfigured. They were both just 16.

Our very industrious team developed a 'pretotype' for an app (Body+) which would help flag instances of potentially harmful targeted advertising, especially towards young women.

Captain, leader legend! And honourary Bangalorean :)
Two decades is a bit of a wait, but if it meant doing it in the blue of Bengaluru, then it was worth every season of trying. Durand Cup Champions - would have been a shame if an Army kid playing football professionally never had the chance to say this. 😉 Come on, BFC!

Support for the BJP lowest among post millennials and people from small towns! Curious trends
BJP Stable, AAP rises - AAP's national traction now ~7%, higher in North-West, Tier 1 & 2 cities - preference over AAP as new national alternative than revitalised Congress @vaibhavparik28 & I look at the latest @YouGov-@livemint-@CPR_India survey: https://t.co/uBFLFOJabN

"We must tell better stories than the tyrants"
Three months ago I heard Salman Rushdie speak at the PEN World Voices Festival. He said: “A poem cannot stop a bullet. A novel can’t defuse a bomb … But we are not helpless … We can sing the truth & name the liars.” We must tell better stories than the tyrants.
