Being an ambitious solo founder is freakin’ hard even when things are going great. @sophiaamoruso gets it. Not a lot of investors do. Loved chatting with her and finally seeing her in person today. If you’re raising, definitely connect with her. She’s one of our most supportive.

The way people use the web is broken. They still use "browsers" to use information that can make or break things. They still copy information into spreadsheets. They still waste time doing mundane tasks that AI can automate. We're changing that. Come work with us in beautiful.

🚀 We’re hiring! 🤖. We're on a mission to make the web accessible to everyone, enabling non-techies to turn websites into spreadsheets and data pipelines in seconds using AI robots. If you're excited by the idea of shaping the future of web automation and data extraction, we'd.

US companies have been laying off tech workers. Meanwhile Canadian companies are hiring them with 50%+ wage subsidies from the government and relocating them with quick & easy work permits.

After the chat, I told Mat I wish we had more time to go deeper into topics. (it’s already one of his longest episodes at 20mins). We’ve learned so much over the past 2 years that I could talk about for hours, but I’m not sure if podcasts are the right medium.

Had a fun little chat with @Mat_Sherman on his Forward Thinking Founders podcast the other day. Gave a brief overview of @BrowseAI, our traction, and where we’re headed. Link below 👇.

This is specially useful for an immigrant like myself who doesn’t have a great network and doesn’t live in SF/NY. If you’d like to sign up:. They did take a while to make intros though, so sign up at least a few weeks in advance.

Huge shoutout to @mercury Seed program and @Julian’s SeedChecks. Almost all my investor meetings so far have come from these programs or from those investors telling their investor buddies about us. I can’t believe these 2 programs have been so effective. Highly recommend them.

I’ve had 25 VC meetings over the last week and have 20+ more scheduled. Lots and lots of learnings. It’s given me such a confidence boost that I do better on sales meetings too (selling a SaaS for $100k/yr feels waay easier than selling shares for $3m!). How I got here?.🧵.

repeat my pitch and answer the same questions 5 times a day. This is sounding like venting… (it is!). Hopefully I’ll have a deal I’m excited about next week. This has been a great experience, but I can’t wait to get back to building and scaling and supporting others!.

As a solofounder, this is a big challenge. I’m lucky I’ve been able to delegate almost everything to my colleagues, but still, we’re in the middle of releasing several major new products and features, closing enterprise deals, getting certifications, hiring, … and I have to /.

I thought I’d close the seed round by the end of this week. I did get a term sheet, but I don’t want to rush it, and I feel like we deserve better terms. But, every day I do pitches and investor comm, I get little to no other work done. This makes me wish I had a cofounder!.

Except we only have 4 senior engineers (other than myself) and our top priority tasks can take 2 years with a team this size!! So we’re leaving a lot of revenue and growth on the table if we don’t ramp up hiring 6-12months ahead of revenue. How is fundraising going?.

We can organically grow the team, but we’re getting inbound interest from almost every company I’ve heard of. Some have even integrated w Browse AI and just need a couple of things to turn into large deals, 10x’ing our total usage over night. That sounds great, right?….

Our startup, @BrowseAI, has been growing exponentially over the past year. We now have 160,000 signed up users who have created 130,000 custom robots on 35,000 sites. We’re profitable since last month and we’ve only spent about $100k of investor money so far. Why raise?.

Remember when the movie Her came out and won an oscar with the story of a lonely person who fell in love chatting with an AI assistant?. Put a synthetic voice on GPT v4 and you have it. It only took 10 years to get there.
