When you /init in your project using any agent (claude code/gemini cli/codex), spend some time to see what it wrote. Imagine you are letting a new person in and explaining the project overview. Make sure all the things you would say are in there. Look if any framework specific.

With gpt 5, it’s fast. Haven’t used it much but feels it’s reliable and good with tools. From what I see, regular users get a great upgrade. For someone who is using pro models already, not so much.

My take was that I would use a reliable, even if it’s a tad bit slower, model. Hence opus was great for coding and couldn’t work with qwen3-coder even if its faster.

GPT-5 will be released in a few hours but people are already creating insane things with it. 🧵.

gpt-oss:20b definitely runs on m1 max 64gb. But it sweats & requests fail when I use it with tools like cline. Probably because of the longer prompts the tools use. Best use I have so far is talking to my notes. No privacy worries as it's all on my laptop.

AI is making cli tools more accessible for me. I mean, I could have used things like tmux earlier too, but I was just lazy to learn and check docs. Now I can easily ask AI to teach me minimum viable commands and even draft a config file for my use.
