We are currently out of stock of caddy liners for food waste bins. Food waste can be placed directly into caddies or you can use newspaper or normal plastic bags for the time being. We apologise for any inconvenience and will update when the caddy liners are available again.

With another chilly night ahead, please bear with us tomorrow as our refuse vehicles do need time to thaw out. Collections may be slightly later than normal.

Another week, another refuse vehicle fire, caused by the incorrect disposal of batteries. Batteries should NEVER be placed in household waste, they can be disposed of safely at the Household Recycling Centre at Fengate or at many shops

**UPDATE** Our refuse crews were out early this morning, however the heat has now become too extreme to allow them to continue to work safely. We are suspending collections for the rest of the day. Areas not completed this morning will be collected from tomorrow morning.

Due to excessive temperatures on Tuesday 19th July recycling and waste collections may start from 4am. Please ensure your bins are out for collection the night before if your collection day is Tuesday.

We are currently out of stock of food waste bags. If you have run out, you can use any small bags, as long as they can be tied up before placing in the larger food caddy. If you have requested bags, we will deliver them to you as soon as our stocks have been replenished.

Our crews are working as normal on the jubilee bank holidays this week - Thurs and Fri. Please put your bins out as normal before you enjoy the celebrations! If you're having a street party on your collection day, make sure that your bin is accessible.
